Writing and recording the music for "Underbelly: A Tale of Two Cities" (series 2). This second series focuses on Australian organized crime in the period 1976 to 1986, and tells the story of "Aussie" Bob Trimbole (Roy Billing), Terry "Mr Asia" Clark (Matthew Newton), and anti drugs campaigner Donald McKay (Andrew McFarlane).

November 2008

"Underbelly" won two awards at the APRA/AGSC 2008 Screen Music Awards held in Sydney in November. They were for "Best Music for a Television Series" ("Underbelly" Ep.5) and Best Television Theme ("It's a Jungle Out There") (see Gallery). 
The DVD release of "Underbelly" was the highest selling DVD in Australia for 2008. (View Underbelly Review on Screentime)

The opening montage for Network Seven's coverage of the 2008 Beijing Olympics also won "Best Opening Montage" at the 2008 Monaco Golden Podium Awards. The score was recorded with a 50-piece orchestra and also featured the Chinese percussion troupe "Red Poppy" (see Gallery). The Executive Producer was Andy Kay.

October 2008

Recording took place at Mad Cat Studios for the European feature film "The Interrogation of Harry Wind". (see Gallery) The score was written largely for a String Quartet and the players were Zoe Black (1st Violin), Susie Ng (2nd Violin), Andrew Jakopanetz (Viola), and Rohan de Korte (Cello). The Orchestrator was Shaun Rigney. The film stars Klaus Maria Brandauer ("Out of Africa", "Mephisto") and Sebastian Koch ("the Lives of Others", "The Black Book") and is due for release in Europe at the end of 2009.

July 2008 - September 2008

Scored the international mini-series "False Witness" produced by Screentime for UKTV. Starring Dougray Scott, Richard Roxburgh, Rachel Blake and Claire Forlani, the espionage thriller was produced by Greg Haddrick and directed by Peter Andrikidis. Loosely based on real events, the story is set in Sydney, London and Tajikistan.
